Hackbridge station

Hackbridge railway station is located on London Road, close to the town’s parade of shops at Hackbridge Corner.  


The station is in Travelcard zone 4, and is served by Southern and Thameslink lines, with direct connections to stations including Carshalton and Sutton to the south, and Balham, Clapham Junction, London Victoria, London Blackfriars, London St Pancras International, City Thameslink, St Albans and Luton to the north. 


The station has step free access to both platforms (platform 2 can be accessed either by a step bridge, or via a separate ramp entrance).

Mitcham Junction Station

Mitcham Junction railway station is located just over a mile north along London Road from Hackbridge station, and for some Hackbridge residents will actually be their closest station. 


The station is also in Travelcard zone 4, and is served by the same lines as Hackbridge (one station closer to London). There is also a stop on the Tramlink service at Mitcham Junction, with direct links to Wimbledon to the west and Croydon to the east. 


The station has step free access to both rail platforms and to the Tramlink stop.

Bus routes

  • 127 – runs from Purley to Tooting Broadway, passing through Hackbridge close to the railway station at Hackbridge, and along London Road past Mitcham Junction station. For more information on schedules and for live arrivals and status information for this route, click here
  • 151 – runs from Wallington to Worcester Park, passing by Hackbridge station before turning left at Hackbridge Corner and heading towards Carshalton. For more information on schedules and for live arrivals and status information for this route, click here.  
  • 80 – runs from High Down Prison in Belmont to Hackbridge. Stops on the route include Sutton railway station and Morden Underground station, and the route ends at Reynolds Close in Hackbridge (close to the River Wandle and around half a mile from Hackbridge Corner).   • S1 – runs between Banstead and Lavender Fields near Collier’s Wood. Stops on the route include Belmont and Sutton station, and St Helier Hospital, and the bus passes along Mill Green Road at the north end of Hackbridge (along the bottom of Mill Green), before heading along London Road past Mitcham Junction station.
